To date, FBC has conducted more than 5,000 events both nationally and internationally for US government agencies. The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. Tim Hartman, CEO of GovExec, made the announcement, with Peter Goldstone, Chairman of GovExec, serving as an advisor. The deal was made possible with financial support from Growth Catalyst Partners (GCP), a mid-market private equity firm. FBC will continue to operate as an independent division under the leadership of David Powell.
With its track record of producing numerous government agency events, the acquisition offers an opportunity for FBC to scale its events and reach new industry audiences through GovExec’s marketing and digital capabilities. This move aligns with GovExec's extensive experience in providing information to federal managers and its focus on serving the unique needs of public sector employees. The acquisition enables GovExec to offer a more comprehensive suite of products to help federal employees and agencies achieve their missions.
