GovExec Announces Andrew Werner as New Publisher of Federal Technology Sales

Washington, D.C. (May 5, 2022)GovExec announces Andrew Werner has been promoted to Publisher of the Federal Technology sales portfolio which includes its award-winning content platforms, Nextgov and FCW. The announcement was made today by Constance Sayers, Chief Revenue Officer of GovExec. Werner takes on this position at a time of record growth for the company.

“Andrew’s dedication to GovExec and his track record of innovation and success makes him uniquely positioned to lead our federal technology sales portfolio,” said Sayers. “With his deep understanding of our business, I’m so excited to see how he continues to bring his experience and knowledge to this new position."

Werner’s responsibilities will include focusing and leading sales efforts for the expansion of the Nextgov and FCW digital brand, maintaining and expanding client relationships, generating revenue, and acting as subject matter expert for the larger sales apparatus to achieve brand growth objectives across product categories (digital, events, research, custom content) and work as a member of the greater leadership team.  Werner will also continue to work closely with Market Connections and the Research and Insights group championing their products to GovExec’s client base.

Werner, who will report to Sayers, brings 10 years of deep experience with GovExec/Atlantic Media to his new position as publisher of Nextgov and FCW. While at Atlantic Media, he held Strategic Account roles in ad sales across Government Executive, National Journal, and The Atlantic, working with key clients to build their perceptions and achieve their business goals across the property's influential audiences. He began his career at the Martin Agency, where he got to see firsthand the power marketing can deliver brands, at one of the country's most prestigious creative agencies.
