Washington, DC (November 4, 2022) — GovExec, the leading information services company for government leaders and contractors, today announced that its internal creative agency, Studio 2G, has been recognized with two prestigious MarCom Awards—a Platinum Award for its creation of the “Space 2050” article series and an Honorable Mention for its creation of the Google Cloud podcast series “AI: Gov Reimagined.”

The two winning entries included:
- A Platinum Award for “Space 2050,” a multi-article series created in partnership with Lockheed Martin that looks into the future of space exploration and economy, and the technology the U.S. government will need to protect space assets and further innovation.
- An Honorable Mention for “AI: Gov Reimagined,” a multi-episode podcast series produced in collaboration with Google Cloud. The series features discussions with government leaders and Google Cloud executives on the ways that AI has made a difference for government agencies, whether it's to help agencies through times of crisis or simply to liberate civil servants from tedious tasks.
MarCom’s Platinum Award is presented to those entries judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition. Platinum Winners are recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity, and resourcefulness. About 16 percent won this award.
Honorable Mention certificates are granted to those entries that meet the expectations of the judges. Approximately 13 percent were Honorable Mention winners.
Each year about 6,500 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries to the MarCom Awards and Studio 2G is honored to be part of those recognized.
