Washington, D.C. (November 26, 2024) — Defense One, the top source for news, analysis, and commentary on the future of defense and national security, is thrilled to welcome Meghann Myers as a staff reporter to cover land warfare and other topics. Myers brings over a decade of experience covering the Pentagon and various military branches.

Myers, who earned a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University, has established an expansive career covering military operations, policy, personnel, leadership, and other topics. After reporting and editing for Army Times and Navy Times, she served as the Pentagon Bureau Chief for Military Times, where she traveled with the defense secretary, coordinated news coverage, and led team investigations. Most recently, she served as a freelance writer for The War Horse and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).

As Defense One staff reporter, Myers will focus on land warfare, defense and combat trends, emerging technologies, and geopolitical events. She will also join the editorial team in covering breaking stories that shape the current and future military landscape.
