Washington, DC (September 8, 2021) — Defense One, the award-winning national security and military news brand of GovExec, will welcome senior representatives of five branches of the U.S. military, including service chiefs Army Gen. James C. McConville, Navy Adm. Michael Gilday, Space Force Gen. John W. Raymond and Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown, for the second annual State of Defense Series. Running from Sept. 9-27, the virtual series will consist of five weekly sets of interviews and panels discussing the present and future of the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force. In Afghanistan and Iraq, the U.S. Air Force was the most active service branch of them all, which means they now have to make the biggest adjustments to meet new demands to deter and defend against threats from Russia, China, and elsewhere.
