The Federal 100 Awards celebrate the federal IT professionals who are shaping the path of what can be accomplished in the future through their achievements today. Each year, the Federal 100 carries on GovExec’s more than 50-year tradition of amplifying government changemakers. Past winners span agency employees, the federal contracting sector, academics, members of Congress and independent watchdogs.

The nomination process opens today, October 27, 2025, and closes on December 31st, 2025. Winners of the 2026 Federal 100 Awards will be chosen in late January 2026 and announced in mid-February 2026. They will be celebrated at GovExec’s Evening of Honors on April 30, 2026.

Along with the Federal 100 award winners, the Evening of Honors gala will also showcase the 2026 Government Hall of Fame inductees. The Government Hall of Fame honors those who have reached a high pinnacle of success during their careers in civil service. Recommendations for this year’s inductees are now being accepted as well.
